How does Park and Ride parking work?

You drive to the parking you chose and will be brought to the airport within 30 minutes, the bus has a flexible schedule. At the parking you get information about your pickup after your vacation. After landing you contact the valet and they will bring your car to you.

How does Help Me Park Gatwick work?

With Help Me Park you can expect a simple parking process that is hassle-free and will make sure that your trip gets off to a great start with friendly staff on hand to help you with your luggage and any questions you might have.


You will receive an automated text message from Help Me Park about 30 minutes before your arrival and will need to give them a call on the telephone number provided to let them know your expected arrival time. When you arrive at the drop-off area, you will be greeted by a uniformed Help Me Park valet who will help you unload your vehicle and then check it over with you for existing damage. Once all the checks have been done, you can hand over your car key and take the short walk to the terminal building. In just a short couple of minutes you will be at the check-in desks and your car will be driven to the secure off-site Help Me Park car park near the airport.


On your return you will receive another text message from Help Me Park and again you will need to give them a call once you have collected your luggage. This will give them enough time to bring your vehicle back to the collection point and not be there too long to require additional charges from the airport.

Head to the spot where you dropped off your vehicle on your arrival and your car will be waiting for you. A Help Me Park valet will greet you, ask you to sign for your vehicle and hand over your car key. You can then start your journey home. This is an easy service that helps you save time either end of your journey and removes the stress from parking at Gatwick!



Security is a top priority for Help Me Park and the car park has been awarded a Park Mark accreditation for their stringent measures. You can leave your vehicle in safe hands and enjoy peace of mind during your trip. There is CCTV, perimeter fencing, 24-hour security presence and all drivers are professionally trained and carry ID. When you meet the Help Me Park driver, make sure that they are wearing a uniform and request ID.



Help Me Park services are located at both the North and South Terminals at Gatwick. The drop-off and pick-up points are the same at each terminal and you can walk in just a couple of minutes to the terminal building.

Help Me Park Gatwick North

When you are near the North Terminal, keep an eye out for the ‘Passenger Drop-off’ sign and follow it to the drop-off point between the Sofitel and the Short Stay Car Park. Make sure to stay in the right-hand lane as you approach the Sofitel, otherwise you may get stuck in the queue for the multi-storey car park. You will then see the drop-off bays where you can park up and meet the Help Me Park valet.

Help Me Park Gatwick South

When you approach the South Terminal, you will need to look for the ‘Passenger Drop-off’ sign and follow it to the drop-off area beneath the multi-storey car park. You will need to drive across the third zebra crossing and then park on the left right after it. Here you will be greeted by a Help Me Park valet.


Additional Information

Help Me Park does not accept all vehicles and has extra charges in some instances.

  • Please ensure that your car is safe to drive, including the legal tyre tread limit, enough water in the washer bottle and enough fuel, as cars considered unsafe to drive will not be driven by Help Me Park staff and you will not receive a refund
  • Help Me Park does not accept vehicles larger than a SWB transit van or vehicles longer than 5.2 metres, vehicles with trailers attached, vehicles without a valid MOT certificate, vehicles that are not taxed, vehicles without enough fuel to drive 20 miles, vehicles without the manufacturer’s recommended levels of oil, engine coolant, water or cleaning fluid or any vehicle that can be reasonably considered unsafe to drive
  • There is a £10 per day charge for every extra day over your agreed return date if you return later than planned
  • There is a £10 surcharge for bookings on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day
