You drive to the parking you chose and will be brought to the airport within 30 minutes, the bus has a flexible schedule. At the parking you get information about your pickup after your vacation. After landing you contact the valet and they will bring your car to you.
Parking with Acorn Lodge could not be much simpler. The parking process is straightforward and efficient to ensure that your journey begins without any unnecessary stress.
On your arrival at Acorn Lodge, park in any space in the car park, unload your luggage and make your way to the hotel reception. Check-in your vehicle with the friendly hotel staff and hand over your car key. Your car will be moved to a secure off-site car park nearby the hotel and kept there for the duration of your trip. You will need to pay an additional £3 per person return for the shuttle ride at the hotel reception.
Once you have checked-in and purchased your bus ticket, can then wait just a couple of minutes in the comfortable hotel lobby for the on-demand bus. If you require the bus between 03:00 and 09:30, remember that it only runs on the hour and every half hour, so every 30 minutes. The bus takes only around 5 minutes to reach the terminals and will drop you off at the terminal entrance.
On your return, collect your luggage and then give Acorn Lodge a call (you can find the phone number on your confirmation email). Keep in mind that the bus can take between 10 and 15 minutes to meet you at the spot outside the terminal where you were dropped off.
When you arrive back at the hotel your key will be waiting for you at the 24/7 reception and your car will be parked outside in the car park ready to go.

You will be required to leave your car keys at the reception desk, in order for the hotel to move your vehicle from the hotel car park to a nearby secure car park and then only if necessary, to keep the car park functioning.
You will have little difficulty finding Gatwick Acorn Lodge Airport parking, as it is just a short drive from Junction 9 of the M23. Once you take the exit, take the second exit on the roundabout to Gatwick’s South Terminal. At the next roundabout you will need to take the 4th exit for the A23 towards Redhill and then take the 3rd exit at the following roundabout. Once you reach the first set of traffic lights, turn right onto Massetts Road and then take the next right onto Wolverton Gardens. Is there a charge for the shuttle bus?
Yes, Acorn Lodge charges an additional £3 per person return for use of the shuttle bus to and from the airport. This is not included in your parking price and must be paid at the hotel reception on your arrival.
Does the shuttle bus run 24/7?
The shuttle bus is available 24/7 but runs at different times. Between 09:30 and 03:00 the bus runs on-demand and outside of these times it runs on the hour and on every half past the hour.
Are there size restrictions on vehicles?
Yes, Acorn Lodge does not accept non-standard sized cars that do not fit into a 2.4 by 4.8 metre parking space. Commercial vehicles, camper vans and other larger vehicles are not currently accepted by Acorn Lodge.
Can I bring larger items of luggage on the shuttle?
Yes you can brings ski, snowboarding, fishing gear, bikes, golf bags and other large forms of luggage with you on the Acorn Lodge shuttle.
Will Acorn Lodge move my car while I am away?
Acorn Lodge staff will move your car from the hotel car park to a secure nearby car park. Once in the secure car park, your vehicle will not be moved unless it is necessary for the smooth management of the space.
