The North Terminal hosts 18 airlines and the South Terminal 29 (all flights are currently operating from the North Terminal due to the COVID-19 crisis).

Recent Changes at Gatwick Terminals

Due to COVID-19 and the reduced flight traffic, the airport authority has decided that all flights will operate solely from the North Terminal while the South Terminal remains closed. For that reason, when looking for which terminal at Gatwick, be sure that you’re looking at the most recent and accurate information.

This temporary measure means that the 29 airlines of the South Terminal are now operating from the North. As a result of this decision, South Terminal lounges, duty-free shops, restaurants, and cafes are temporarily closed. Many of the North Terminal shops and eateries are now open but their opening hours may vary. In terms of transportation, if you take the train to the airport, you can then board the free inter-terminal shuttle to go from the South to the North terminal. For those of you who plan to drive to the airport, you may need to pre-arrange airport parking near Gatwick Airport as the on-site North Terminal car parks will be crowded.

Finnair

It has been announced that Finnair is changing terminals. It will soon move from the South to the North Terminal permanently. For live information, go to the official airport Gatwick Which Terminal page, and insert your travel dates to see from which terminal your flight operates.

Wizz Air

Wizz Air opens a new base at Gatwick airport with one new aircraft and three new routes to the following destinations: Athens, Naples, Lanzarote, and Malta. Wizz Air facilities are on the North Terminal.

TUI

TUI has two bases, one in each Terminal. You’ll find the one as TUI, situated in North Terminal, and the other as TUI South Terminal, which is operated by Norwegian. If you’re not sure where your flight departs from, contact the airline directly or visit the Gatwick Airport which terminal section on the official webpage.

Inactive Airlines at Gatwick Airport

Some airlines have suspended all flights until further notice. According to the most recent update, airlines still inactive are Aegean, Aer Lingus, Aeroloft, Air China, Aurigny, Austrian, Azores Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Croatia Airlines, Georgian Airways, Iberia Express, Jazeera Airways, Montenegro, Airlines, RwandAir, Swiss.
