Gatwick Lounges

airport lounge

Until recently, airport lounges were considered to be exclusively for business and elite travellers. Thankfully, at Gatwick this is not the case anymore and you can now book lounge access no matter your budget! There are many different options available depending on your budget, which airline you are travelling with and which terminal you are travelling from. Depending on the amenities offered you can relax, unwind, and enjoy some quiet time at one of Gatwick Lounges with prices starting from just £21.

Which one should you choose? In this Gatwick Lounges guide, you will find information, directions and extensive descriptions of the lounges, so that you can make a decision that suits your budget. We have divided the blog post into two sections, one for the North and one for the South Terminal lounges. This will help you have a complete view of these areas before even visiting them.

Introduction to Gatwick Lounges

Today, every passenger flying from Gatwick deserves to spend time before their flight in a nice comfortable space away from the crowds. Some of them have changing facilities, showers or even places to nap. If you are in the airport waiting for your connecting flight, there's nothing better than freshening up in a lounge. For your safety, all Gatwick Airport lounges have put COVID-19 measures in place, such as an assisted buffet instead of self-service dining, hand sanitisers, social distancing rules, reduced capacity, and frequent cleaning rounds.

There are four lounges at the North Terminal and another four at the South. Based on your travel class and/or frequent flyer membership status, British Airways customers can make use of the British Airways Lounge, located in the South Terminal of Gatwick Airport. Entrance to all the facilities is permitted three hours before your flight. If you wish to prolong your stay, you can purchase additional time in advance or at the airport. In the table below, you can see a quick overview of the most important facts about Gatwick Lounges.

Gatwick North Terminal Lounges

At the North Terminal, you’ll find four official Gatwick Airport lounges: My Lounge, Club Aspire Lounge, No1 Lounge, and Clubrooms. They are ranked from the cheapest to the most expensive below. We will first offer some basic information about location, opening hours, and price, and then explain the available amenities in detail.

My Lounge

My Lounge is on the left after entering the lounge pavilion of the North Terminal. It is the most affordable choice of the Gatwick lounges and the least formal one. Regardless of the airline, class of travel or age, all ticket holders are welcome in My Lounge. Online prices start from £24 per adult and often around £12 for children between 2 - 11 years

Chill with your companion in the loft design facility and feel free to visit the self-service buffet as many times as you wish, and pour a drink once or twice. There is a seven-metre counter, where you'll find snacks, pastries and more grazing options. Children and adults alike will be fascinated by the leisure activities that include TV, game consoles, and table football. If you're in the mood for some reading, you can flip through the vast selection of magazines and newspapers. With the unlimited Wi-fi access, you can also check your flight details or search for information about your upcoming trip.

There's no strict dress code, but 'smart-casual' applies to all guests.

Club Aspire Lounge

In the North Terminal, after security on level 1 of the lounge pavilion, you'll find Club Aspire Lounge. The lounge is open daily from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Current online prices per adult start from £25 and £11 per child aged 2 - 11 years.

The entry pass offers unlimited Wi-fi and access to digital newspapers and magazines. There are also tranquil spaces for people who want to work or charge their laptops and phones.

Club Aspire doesn't have a strict dress code, but kindly request to avoid wearing fancy dress, sportswear, or clothes displaying offensive slogans.

No1 Lounge Gatwick North

You can easily locate No1 Lounge Gatwick. After passing security, follow the signs to Airport Lounges. Continue toward the glass double doors, and then you'll see the lounge directly in front of you. The opening times are daily from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The entry pass starts from £32 for adults and £18 for children from 2 - 11 years old.

Enjoy fresh seasonal food with panoramic views of the runway. Let loose with a few drinks from the wide complimentary selection or sip a cup of coffee to get you going for the rest of your day. Sports fans will be happy to hear that there's a sports bar to catch up on their favourite club's game. There's also a library for those who cherish some alone time and a private meeting room to settle that urgent video call with your colleagues.

Charging facilities for electronic devices, guest computers, and unlimited Wi-fi are available for all lounge guests. Lastly, adults can access a great range of digital newspapers and magazines, while children have their much-needed playtime.

The dress code is 'smart-casual'. You might be denied entry if, for instance, clothing is considered offensive.

Clubrooms*

Clubroom, on level 1 of the lounges area, is the most exclusive option in North Terminal lounges. This modern and tranquil retreat is ideal for all passengers over the age of 12 who want to escape from the airport crowds. You can save up by booking your pass online with prices starting from £38 per person.

Hosts will greet you upon entry and will look after each of your needs until you leave the lounge. The hosts offer at-seat service, bringing you food and drinks upon request. Seasonal fresh food made from local products is served throughout the year. The first-class experience continues with the extensive list of hot, soft, alcohol and non-alcohol drinks. After you have savoured the a la carte menu, you can sit back and relax in the quiet business zone.

Clubroom Lounge has a smart-casual dress code, which means that guests with sportswear, clothing that exposes midriffs or upper thigh, bare shoulders on men, and fancy dress will be denied access.

*Reopening Date to be announced.

Gatwick South Terminal Lounges

The same type of lounges are to be found in the South Terminal, but sometimes with minor differences. As we would like you to have accurate information before booking one of the Gatwick Lounges, we put together a section dedicated to Gatwick Airport Lounges of the South Terminal.

Social seating is available so that you can sit with your travel companion and watch TV or read a magazine or newspaper. Use the unlimited Wi-fi and recharge the battery of your phone/laptop before taking off.

For some quiet time, there is a business designated zone to squeeze in a little more work. If you're looking for plug sockets, you'll find them table-side and Wi-fi is unlimited for all guests.

Club Aspire doesn't have a strict dress code but kindly requests to avoid casual clothing like sportswear.

No1 Lounge

No1 lounge Gatwick south is located between Dixons and JD Sports. Simply, follow the signs for No1 Lounges and Clubrooms, and you will find it. It welcomes passengers of all airlines and travel class daily from 4:00 a.m to 10:00 p.m. The admission fee starts from £32 per adult and £18 for children from 2 - 11 years old.

Ideal for solo travellers and groups, it's the perfect place to loosen before your flight while gazing at the views of the planes taking off and landing. The menu includes a self-service pantry table and individual freshly-prepared and seasonal hot dishes. The fully tended bar has a list of English wines, craft beers and spirits. Additional amenities include unlimited Wi-fi access, magazines and newspapers, and charging stations so that your laptop or phone never runs out of battery.

Clubrooms

Clubrooms lounge is on the upper level of the main departure lounge in Gatwick's South Terminal. It's open daily from 5:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with prices starting from £38 per person. All passengers of all airlines over 12 years old are allowed to enter the facility.

Just like its North Terminal counterpart, Clubrooms in South Terminal offers a premium pre-flight hospitality. Your host will welcome you and be by your side whenever you request it. They will serve you seasonal hot dishes from the a la carte menu and refill your drink. You can try out award-winning wines, craft beers, and other soft drinks. As always, you'll have unlimited internet access, and charging stations to plug in your phone and other devices. Relax in the comfortable lounge and enjoy unrivalled runway views.

You'll need to comply with the 'smart-casual' dress code to be granted access to Clubrooms Lounge.

British Airways Lounge Gatwick

There are two British Airways lounges in the South Terminal, First and Business. To enter the lounge, you need to be a first or business class customer or have a British Airways frequent flyer membership. For more information, please visit their official website.

You will find both lounges in Upper Mezzanine Level, between Dixons Travel and J.D. Sports. Gatwick BA lounge areas are currently open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The opening times usually change based on the winter and summer timetable. The admission fee is included in your plane ticket, so you won't need to pay at the entrance.

The lounges offer a great variety of complimentary food and beverages. You can find elaborate dishes like honey-roasted bacon loin with parsley cream sauce, Moroccan spicy beef, pasta, rice and desserts. The First class lounge might have a slightly better quality in food, but both are good.

The seating area is segmented in a way that creates a tranquil environment where you have great airport views. Adults can sit back, relax and read one of the many newspapers and magazines. Kids are also welcome here and can use the playroom that includes TV sets and table football. It goes without saying that Wi-fi access is unlimited in the lounges.

Travellers who are allowed access to the lounges will be happy to know that there are shower and changing facilities.

There is no strict dress code, but it has to be under the British Airways First and Business class standards.

*Due to COVID-19, all South Terminal Lounges are closed until further notice.
