There are several different options available when it comes to Manchester Airport pick up, depending on the terminal you’re driving to. And while there have been a lot of recent changes the passenger drop off procedures as of late, the pick up process remains unchanged. You can meet passengers at the Arrivals Car Parks, the Short Stay Car Parks, or the Multi Storey Car Parks, at a charge of £4.50 for 30 minutes. If you’re picking somebody up from Manchester Airport, it pays to plan ahead. If you’re heading to Terminal 1, we advise using the T1 Short Stay Car Park or the T1 Multi Storey Car Park, which are conveniently located right next to Arrivals. For Terminal 2, you’ll need to travel to the new T2 Multi Storey West Car Park, and for Terminal 3, you should locate the T3 Multi Storey Car Park, and then follow signs on the ground floor for T3 Pick Up Zone. It’s worth bearing in mind that you can’t pick up passengers from outside of the Manchester Airport Train Station. The nearest car park to the station is the T1 Short Stay Car Park, which is just a few minutes away on foot.
You can wait for your passengers to arrive for up to 30 minutes, at a cost of £4.50 for 30 minutes. After half an hour, the Manchester Airport pick up charges increase to £7.00 for an hour, and £10.00 for two hours. You can view the rates in full in the table below:

If you’re planning on staying at the airport for four hours or longer, it may be worth pre-booking your parking at one of the Multi Storey Car Parks, to secure a better rate. Advance online bookings are often cheaper than drive up rates, and guarantee you a space, even during the busiest periods. At the same time, the T1 Multi Storey Car Park and T2 East Multi-Storey Car Park are restricted to pre-booked customers only. This means that you’ll need to make an online reservation if you plan on parking there.
We found that pre-booking a full day of parking at one of the Multi Storey Car Parks through Parkhero, was significantly cheaper than the drive up charges quoted above. Turning up and paying for a day’s parking will cost you £45.00, whereas when you book in advance with Parkhero, it could cost you as little as £10.37.
